Effective and efficient communication with Orchard View employees, residents, families, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders is an essential function of the Administration department. It is our mission to provide the necessary laundry services required by Orchard View for our facility needs and for the individual residents respective personal needs. The laundry department will maintain the highest standards of infection control and provide efficient service, coordinating our activities with all departments and services of Orchard View for the provision of comprehensive care.

It is our mission to maintain a resident’s quality of life by providing meaningful experiences which focus on the highest possible standards of: rehabilitative; restorative; educational; social; recreational; emotional and spiritual activities corresponding with the interests and needs of the residents. We will design, provide and carry out programs on a daily basis that stimulate, encourage and promote resident independence while effectively communicating with family, volunteers, clergy, community and other stakeholders. We will work with Orchard View departments to promote employee communication and involvement in resident activities for the best possible resident outcomes.

It is our mission to protect and promote the needs of our residents through a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. We will take primary responsibility for formulating and carrying out safety and emergency related programs for Orchard View. We will carry out construction and renovations as directed while coordinating with visiting trades’ people, public officials and regulatory agency representatives. We will provide primary and backup transportation as required for residents and Orchard View business. We will provide efficient service, coordinating our activities with all departments and services of Orchard View for the provision of comprehensive care.

It is our mission to provide dietary services based on the individual needs of the residents and the requirements of Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating. Our food quality and menu selections will reflect the highest standard of nutrition, providing a satisfactory variety of food. Therapeutic diets will be served to residents as ordered by the physician. We will ensure that food related areas, equipment, and supplies are maintained in a clean, neat and safe condition in compliance with public health regulations ensuring infection control practices are in place and that safe food handling is maintained at all times. We will coordinate our activities with all departments and services of Orchard View in the provision of comprehensive care.

It is our mission to provide housekeeping services to the residents, visitors and employees for the purpose of ensuring our environment is pleasant, neat, clean, and safe. We will maintain a high standard in our daily cleaning practices, as we recognize the role this has in our facility infection control practices. We will ensure an attractive image of our facility is provided on a daily basis. We will coordinate our activities with all departments and services of Orchard View in the provision of comprehensive care.
